BECK — LIGNOLOC and SCRAIL
Innovative fastening for timber construction
BECK develops fastening systems for wood construction. Its products include LIGNOLOC wooden nails and SCRAIL fasteners, which combine aspects of nail-style driving with screw-like characteristics.

LIGNOLOC wooden nails
LIGNOLOC is a system of pneumatically driven beechwood nails. During insertion, frictional heat supports a bond between the wooden nail and the surrounding timber. Its suitability depends on the specified application, product approval and connection design.

SCRAIL nail-screws
SCRAIL fasteners are designed to offer rapid installation with enhanced holding properties. They provide a different connection approach for selected building and manufacturing applications.

Why these systems matter
Timber fastening technology can help designers and builders consider installation speed, disassembly needs, material compatibility and resource use. No one fixing is appropriate for every detail, so structural connections must follow the relevant approvals and engineering requirements.

BECK at Eco-Island
BECK supported the initiative with fastening technology and practical learning opportunities. The 2026 building camp was a setting in which participants could see the tools and construction methods in context.
