This introduction was written by the Eco-Island Building Camp team.
Molnár Csaba and Debreceni Faműhely have supported the Eco-Island initiative since its earliest stages. From preparation and construction to the work that continued after the camp, the project has benefited from their expertise, practical help and commitment.
Introducing Debreceni Faműhely

Debreceni Faműhely is a carpentry and roofing team based in Debrecen, Hungary. Their work includes lightweight timber buildings, timber structures, new roofs and roof refurbishment. They also deal with the correct installation of vapour-control layers and roof ventilation details.
The team is open to new technologies and aims to deliver high-quality work. At Eco-Island they demonstrated the importance of careful craftsmanship, sound technical knowledge and a conscientious approach to installation.
Supporting the project from the beginning

Molnár Csaba and his team contributed to preparing the site’s infrastructure. They also donated the ground-floor timber stud-frame structure to the project.
During the camp they supervised and led the assembly of the timber-framed walls, helping participants work together while learning on a real construction site. Their support did not end with the original camp: they continued returning at weekends to help finish outstanding tasks.
We are grateful to Molnár Csaba and Debreceni Faműhely for their time, perseverance and skilled work. Thank you for being part of this collective effort!
